Computer-aided design (CAD) and drafting are other things I love using for my projects.
There are two reasons for it: 1. It helps my clients see the space, not just see pieces that will go into a space, but actually see the functionality of the space once the space plan is created and interpreted into a 3D drawing. 2. It is fun! Oh, it’s so much fun!
“When my clients see the drawings before them, all becomes clear and decisions come easily.”
Here is a fun fact, I used to be terrified of lines! Drawing perfectly measured straight lines on a piece of tracing paper and then transferring them onto a piece of vellum paper took bravery and lots of it (yes, I am, what I call, from in between ages, coming from an age when vellum and hand-drafting were still in fashion and AutoCad was just being created). But then I got it perfect once, then twice, then the third time, and there was no going back, there was no going to anything other than designing, drafting, creating. I found my perfect destination, the design field!
